Meet Brady Edge
“Life is about living in the moment, I don’t always need to have a plan,” said Brady Edge (19) of Athens, Ohio.
Brady poses for the camera one day during a long
ride on the way to a family vacation spot.
Brady Edge appreciates the world around him and lives every day to the fullest.  Ohio University Sophomore, Brady Edge, was born on July 26, 1992.  Brady is from Hudson, Ohio, just north of OU.  Brady originally came to OU for the Journalism program, but found the Journalism school was not what he was looking for.  While interested in nature, writing, and studying people, Brady is contemplating pursuing a major in Psychology.  Ohio University offered him a full ride scholarship which Brady is very grateful for. Brady Edge is a hardworking, energetic guy who loves life and is interested in experiencing different cultures.

Family Life
Brady, the youngest of three boys, is trying to follow in his successful brothers’ footsteps.  His two older brothers are in the middle of their careers as agricultural and biochemical engineers.
“I always looked up to them for advice, it’s nice being the youngest I get to watch them make mistakes, and then I learn from them.” Brady said. “I hope I can find something in school I love like they did and make a career out of it.”
Brady loves his dog Dakota. The family dog has taken many trips with the Edge family all over the country.
“I know it sounds cheezy, but Dakota’s my best friend. I miss our hiking trips together up in the mountains.” Brady remarked.

Activities
One of the many attractions at Ohio University are the jugglers and slack liners that perform on College Green.  Brady joined both clubs and loves to entertain with these activities. He has always loved outdoor things since he was young. Juggling and Slack Lining club has introduced him to many friends and he finds it to be a great activity to relieve stress and have some fun.
“I started juggling one summer when we visited my uncle in North Carolina and I’ve been into learning new tricks ever since,” Brady said.

long hiking trip through the mountains, last fall.
Along with these unique hobbies, Brady spends his free time playing the guitar. He taught himself to play over a couple years and has become very talented. Brady loves to sit around with friends and figure out songs.
“I love having jam sessions with my neighbors down the hall,” Brady explains. “It’s always great to meet new people who play, it’s cool to put your skills together and learn songs.”

Brady Edge uses his creativity in ways other than juggling and walking across a tightrope. Brady is a little old fashioned when it comes to technology and appreciates the advancements we made in the past when it comes to computers. Brady types on an electric typewriter. He uses his typewriter to write letters to his friend back home and other various things.
“Why not use one? They’re great and easy to use.” Brady said. “Most people look at me like I’m crazy when I say I write letters to my friend back home from my typewriter, but I think it’s cool to do something different every once in a while.”
Conclusion
With Brady’s crazy imagination and excitement, he will no doubt succeed in life. Brady Edge truly is living life on the edge as he gets a thrill from the danger of his hobby, slack-lining.  Brady doesn’t care about keeping with the times and fitting in crowds. He’s an individual who will always remain unique because of his interests.
