Mallory is a sophomore at Ohio University and she volunteers 20 hours a week being a Young Life leader. Young Life is a Christian ministry in high schools. The goal of YL is that every adolescent would have a chance to meet Jesus and follow him. This is accomplished through relational ministry.

College students volunteer their time to build relationships with local high school students. In her time as a leader Mallory has become good friends with Becca and Kris. |

Leaders do contact work by spending time with high schoolers outside of Club and Campaigners, with the intentions of meeting more students or getting to know the students they've already met. Mallory plays a board game with Sydney, Stephanie, and Brian at Brian's house in Athens. |

A personal relationship with Jesus is a crucial part of being a YL leader. To grow closer to Christ and learn more about him Mallory studies the Bible and prays. |

Campaigner's is a weekly Bible study with high schoolers. Mallory doesn't lead the discussion every week, but is always present. She helps answer questions and provides guidance relating to the Bible at Campaigner's at a high school student's home. |

Every week the team of leaders at Athens High School meet to plan for Club. Mallory prepares dinner for the rest of the team in her apartment.
Mallory leads a Bible study in a friend's home once a week for girls at 6:30 in the morning, before they go to school. |
The Five C's of Young Life
Club | Weekly gathering with high schoolers consisting of games, skits, singing, and the Club Talk. |
Campaigner’s | Weekly Bible study led for both boys and girls. |
Contact Work | Leaders meet and spend time with high schoolers. |
Committee | A group of adults in the community who support YL. |
Camp | A week in the summer at a YL camp where there is Club every day. |
